Koehler Pavilion at Brackenridge Park

Koehler panno

We worked a company picnic on a rainy day – and stayed dry! That’s because we were set up in the Koehler Pavilion at Brackenridge Park. It’s right behind the zoo entrance. We saw the kiddie train go by three or four times before the rain kicked up. But the weather was no damper to the party. Our hostess switched on the lights and guests continued eating hamburgers and watermelon, getting their faces painted, and watching the balloon artist make flowers, Pokemon, and dragons. The guy’s name was Juan. He was actually really good. The cool air during the rain felt great, and the big overhang around the building kept rain from getting in the sides. Also, it was very roomy and easy to access. Bathrooms were close by and clean. I would recommend this venue.
